ANIMAL MORTALITY STANDARD COVERAGE
This form covers death, including destruction for humane reasons at the direction of a veterinarian, arising out of accident, injury, illness, or disease, including theft or unlawful removal.
The standard coverage form contains the following extensions and supplemental coverages:
- Coverage for death or destruction for humane reasons for up to 12 months beyond the expiration date of the policy arising out of a covered accident, injury, illness, or disease occurring during and reported within the policy period;
- Coverage for newly acquired horses of similar breed or comparable use to those on the policy for up to 72 hours; and
- Emergency colic surgery expense coverage, up to $3,000 per horse per policy period, including after-care and transportation costs incurred from a third-party.

Major Medical Expense
This form provides reimbursement for veterinary fees and charges for covered treatments and surgical procedures, including diagnostics and after-care, at annual limits per horse ranging from $7,500 to $15,000, and subject to an each occurrence deductible.
Surgical Procedure Expense
This form provides reimbursement for expenses arising out of a surgical procedure, including post operative care, at annual limits per horse ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, and subject to an each occurrence deductible.
Extended Coverage Territory
Extends all coverages under the policy for a horse that leaves the basic coverage territory of the United States, its territories, and Canada for the policy period, including while the horse is in transit.
